Q: What is the mission of your organization?

A: Our mission is to create an Africa where women are visibly represented across all career roles and levels in technology.

Q: What is a current project or initiative that you're currently working on?

A: At the moment, we’re currently running towards kicking off the following: - Our annual 1-month summer Code camp bootcamp for junior and high school girls within ages 10-18. - Cohort 2 of our Cloud school: this is a 3 month intensive virtual bootcamp which focuses on training 30 African women in tech each cohort, in Site reliability Engineering with the help of Cloud expert mentors in the industry And lastly Cohort 5 of our Mentoring program targeted at helping African women in web, mobile, design & product management fields, scale their careers in their respective fields during the 3 months bootcamp.

Q: What is something you'd like people to know about She Code Africa?

A: We’ve become the brand name and go-to community for girls and women in tech within Africa looking to learn and connect with others like them, and we plan to continue building that. Our programs are entirely free thanks to the contributions from our sponsors and donors.

Q: And lastly, what is something that really inspires your team to keep doing the great work that you do?

A: The immense success stories and impact we see from our program participants who go on to achieve so much more and break barriers, that is our main inspiration to keep doing what we do.
